The scheme may be useful to you if you:
- are already employed by us and you know someone who would be a good fit for an available role
- are looking for work and know someone who already works with us
Who can refer a friend
The scheme is available for all colleagues except:
- agency workers
- external contractors
- elected members or anyone else who is not an employee
- any employee who is under a formal performance improvement or disciplinary process
- employees who are involved in the recruitment process for that job
- employees who intend to provide a reference for the applicant during the recruitment process

The scheme can earn an existing colleague a cash payment if:
- they refer a friend for a role and that friend gets the job
- that friend goes on to complete their probation period
To be referred for a job under the scheme, the person being referred must:
- not be currently employed by us or have previously worked for us for 12 months
- not be a previous employee who was dismissed through the disciplinary or performance improvement process
Our normal fair recruitment process applies. No preference will be given to applicants on the basis that they have been referred.
