The interview process

Interviews

Many of our interviews are held in person (face-to-face), or virtually using Microsoft Teams, depending on the role and the circumstances.

We will provide you with full details about the interview including who will be interviewing you and if there are any additional tasks for your interview such as work-related tasks, scenarios or presentations.

During the interview, you will be asked competency-based questions based on your application and the job requirements. These questions will assess your abilities and skills in relation to the role you are applying for. We will also incorporate a values-based approach to ensure that your individual attributes align with our organisational values and behaviours.

The interview is your chance to show how you'd excel in the role.  It is also a two-way process and you will have the opportunity to ask any questions that you have about the role or working for us.

At the end of the interview you will be advised of timescales and next steps including when you can expect to hear a decision about the outcome of the interview.

Outcome of the interview

Once all of the interviews are complete, the hiring manager or a member of the interview panel will contact you with the outcome of your application and outline the details of the offer and answer any questions you may have. We will send you a conditional offer in writing and start the required checks.

If you don’t have the required competencies or experience for the role you’ve applied for, we’ll let you know and if you’d like more details, we’ll be happy to explain why and provide you with feedback.

If you’re not successful or the role isn’t quite right for you, don’t be disheartened, we’re always keen to keep in touch with talented people, so you can sign up for email alerts on the recruitment system.
