Customer and Property provides essential services that enhance the quality of life for residents by maintaining infrastructure, ensuring safety and compliance and providing essential support to the local community.

 

This includes:

 

  • maintaining and improving the council's housing stock
  • highways and lifting bridges
  • ensuring safety and compliance through regular inspections and repairs
  • delivering adaptations to homes for those with disabilities and long-term health conditions

We also offer a range of community-focused services such as libraries, museums, customer support and complaints services, which foster community engagement, cultural enrichment, transparency and access to information.

 

Additionally, our telecare and out-of-hours services provide vital support to vulnerable individuals, ensuring their health, safety, and wellbeing.

 

We deliver a diverse range of essential services, including engineering support for building control, transport infrastructure and pumping stations.

 

Our statutory library services, act as the main contact point for Customer Services, and offer 24/7 Telecare and Out of Hours services for vulnerable people.

 

Facilities Management manages the corporate estate and offers technical support for BCP Homes, while the Construction Works Team handles medium-scale construction, refurbishment and new build housing projects.

 

The Building Maintenance Team ensures the upkeep and compliance of BCP Homes properties and the corporate estate.

 

Museum Teams preserve and promote the cultural heritage of Poole and the Russell Cotes Art Gallery and Museum.

 

The Business Support and Complaints Service provides executive and front-line support, manages statutory complaints, and oversees compliance for Freedom of Information (FOI) requests and Subject Access Requests (SARs).

We are developing a low carbon energy efficiency strategy for BCP Homes, and the BCP Homes Asset Management Strategy and maintained high-quality statutory compliance for both BCP Homes and corporate properties.

 

Our In-House Building Maintenance Service delivered top-tier Tenant Satisfaction Measures and Housemark KPIs, refurbished properties on time and within budget, and trained operatives for safeguarding and quick response.

 

Our award-winning apprenticeship program has been recognised for excellence, and we are developing a new BCP Homes housing system with integrated repair booking and mobile working.

 

Additionally, we achieved significant service efficiencies within our business support area and centralised Complaints to ensure effective and transparent support to our citizens.
