Commercial Operations has over 450 staff in four service areas. We look after 15 miles of seafront enjoyed by our local community. We run services like leisure centres to help our community keep active and enjoy the space we live in.
Leisure and Events
We support communities and event organisers to deliver a range of events across Bournemouth Christchurch and Poole. We make sure these events are safe, and we help communities develop a growing local events programme.
We develop local arts, and manage relationships with local National Portfolio Organisations. We're supporting a vision to create lasting experiences that embrace our diverse communities.

Car parking operations and enforcement
We provide a safe, efficient and customer-focused car parking service. We support the community and promote sustainable accessible travel, balancing the needs of residents, visitors and businesses.
Flood and coastal erosion risk management (FCERM)
We share our flood and coastal management with neighbouring authorities. We aim to strengthen our resilience to weather events and changes in our environment.
An example of one of our recent projects is the construction of the £10m Hengistbury Head Long Groyne replacement.
Seafront
The seafront service operations focus on providing a safe, attractive, and vibrant award-winning seafront that protects the natural environment while maximizing commercial potential and attracting investment.
We are proud that Bournemouth Beach has been recognised as the 12th best beach in the world by TripAdvisor in their 25th Anniversary Travellers' Choice Awards.
